Thrilled to share that I earned the Finalist Award in the Hong Kong-Macau division at my very first 2025 Bay Area Cup Cybersecurity Competition! 🏆 Competing against more than 10,000 participants and qualifying for the offline finals was an unforgettable experience.
Competition highlights
- Placed 3rd in the Hong Kong-Macau preliminary round.
- Finished 5th overall in the finals.
- Maintained focus in a strict, no-network environment that pushed my technical and problem-solving skills.
It was also an honor to meet Mr. Daniel Cheung, JP, Deputy Commissioner (Digital Infrastructure) from the Digital Policy Office. His insights, along with conversations with other brilliant competitors, broadened my perspective on the fast-moving cybersecurity landscape.
Why it matters
This competition reaffirmed my passion for cybersecurity, teamwork, and relentless learning. Tackling complex challenges under pressure proved how much growth happens outside comfort zones. I am grateful for the opportunity to represent Hong Kong-Macau, to connect with top talents, and to keep stretching what I can do with code, ingenuity, and grit.
